Did you know Ableton Live is used by Gary Long on American Idol? Gary Long is the sound producer on the show. He’s been in the business since 1978 and a big fan of Ableton.
Gary says “I don’t know how I’d be doing these shows … like American Idol … without Ableton Live. That’s not hype, that’s the truth.”
I watch the show with my kids every week and had no idea that the sound is produced from Ableton. This is very cool. If anyone know what MIDI controller he is using in the video … let me know.

he uses akai apc 40 and a novation 25SL MKII , exactly the first of my list of purchase! i’ve been searching these last days for a good couple of controllers to have everything controlled and i think i’m on the right way, apc for launch clips, mix and track control and the 25SL to enter the notes.
